Our Production Facilities

GCM operates a fully integrated manufacturing complex spanning over 50,000 square meters at our Agua de Higueras campus in Baja California, Mexico. Strategically positioned near the U.S.–Mexico border, our facility is engineered from the ground up to support high-volume, precision copper production — combining advanced machinery, automated quality inspection, and lean manufacturing practices all under one roof. Every aspect of the plant's design prioritizes efficiency, safety, and the consistent delivery of certified copper products to North American and international markets.

From raw copper cathode through to finished tube, fittings, coils, and insulated products, every stage of the production process takes place within our vertically integrated facility. This gives us complete control over product quality, delivery timelines, and production flexibility. Supported by dedicated engineering teams, a fully equipped on-site laboratory, and continuous improvement programs, GCM's manufacturing campus stands at the forefront of copper production technology in North America — enabling us to meet the most demanding customer specifications with confidence and consistency.

Copper Tube Production Line

Our copper tube production lines are equipped with state-of-the-art cold-drawing and extrusion machinery capable of producing a full range of tube diameters and wall thicknesses to ASTM, EN, and JIS standards. Each line is monitored in real time for dimensional accuracy, surface integrity, and mechanical properties, ensuring that every metre of tube leaving our facility meets exacting customer and industry specifications across HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and industrial applications.

  • Continuous extrusion and multi-pass tube drawing for precise dimensional control
  • Precision cold-drawing to tight OD, ID, and wall thickness tolerances
  • Controlled atmosphere bright annealing furnaces for soft-temper tube

Fittings Manufacturing

GCM's fittings manufacturing division produces a comprehensive range of wrought copper and brass pressure fittings to ASME B16.22, MSS SP-45, and equivalent international standards. Our press and machining lines allow us to manufacture thousands of fittings per day across a wide variety of configurations — from standard elbows, tees, and couplings through to custom OEM geometries specified by our partners in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial equipment manufacturing.

  • High-speed hydraulic press forming for wrought copper pressure fittings
  • CNC machining centres for brass fittings and precision threaded components
  • Controlled atmosphere soldering and brazing operations
  • 100% hydrostatic pressure testing on critical and high-pressure fitting lines

Quality Laboratory

At the heart of GCM's quality assurance operation is our fully equipped on-site laboratory. Staffed by qualified metallurgists and quality engineers, the laboratory performs hundreds of tests daily across all active production lines. Every product batch is subject to systematic sampling and multi-parameter verification before release, giving customers complete traceability, certified test reports, and full confidence in the integrity of every delivery from GCM.

  • Tensile, yield strength, and elongation testing to ASTM and EN standards
  • Optical and digital dimensional inspection with sub-micron accuracy gauging
  • Chemical composition analysis via optical emission spectrometry (OES)
  • Hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure burst testing on tube and fittings
  • X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and radiographic inspection for internal integrity

Insulation & Coating Line

GCM's insulation and coating line processes copper coils and straight lengths into ready-to-install insulated products for HVAC&R, refrigeration, and plumbing applications. Our inline process applies insulation directly to the copper product under controlled conditions, ensuring consistent adhesion, wall thickness, and thermal performance — reducing on-site installation time and eliminating field variability for contractors and OEM assemblers.

  • Continuous closed-cell polyurethane foam insulation application in-line
  • Polyethylene (PE) outer jacket coating in multiple colours and thicknesses
  • Twin-tube pair insulation for split-system HVAC pre-charged line sets
  • Custom jacketing to customer-specified colours, wall thicknesses, and markings
  • UV-stabilised outer jacket options for outdoor and direct-burial installations
